For me the out of range types it dosent let me click it, its like desactivated, why that happen?
Hi .. This can happen when not all keyframes are selected or you've selected some values that can't be looped. Try to select all points (parameters) right in the time line before your open the curve editor. Or if that is not working, select all the parameters that you want to loop right in the curve editor. However, it has to do with what parameters you've been selecting. Re-Check your selections and you'll figure it out for sure .. Cheers

Great tutorials to get started with Tyflow!
Hi and many thanks for watching and for your kind comment ... Much appreciated and very glad to hear that these are helpful to you .. Cheers
There isn't a ready made asset for everything, so knowing how to create things like that on your own with ease is really essentail and allows for a more flexbile workflow. Thanks a lot for sharing!
You are very welcome .. Thank you too for watching and for you kind comment .. Cheers
can we do this with beta version ?
Hi and many thanks for watching, much appreciated! Yes, there is no need for the PRO version to do this. The FREE version will do the job. Just make sure that you have the latest version installed and that you are adding the PARTICLE PHYSICS operator. If you don't know how to do that you can follow the examples shown in the tutorial following this link: ruclips.net/video/ybclKPMmHuI/видео.html In this one you'll see how to create CLOTH-SIMs with tyFLOW without using CUDA or PRO version .. Cheers
so you still need to simulate foam and splash with phoenix right, thne kinda convert them into the tyflow? what is the point then?
Hi .. Thanks for watching and for you comment. Much appreciated. Yes, this is right. You'd have to simulate the foam particles in PHOENIX first. The point of using tyFLOW to convert them, is that you can render the FOAM in VANTAGE, which is not possible when using the usual PARTICLE SHADERS from Phoenix, since those are not supported in VATAGE yet and you'll never see the foam. Hopefuly these information are helpful to you .. Cheers
@@asARTMotionGraphics yep got it, missed vatage thing ). Vray and Corona works fine as is
@@user-rq2hx2ji4s Sure thing .. VANTAGE is just a Real-Time Rendering Software. It is available for VRay only and it is very fast and really useful and can handle lots of polygons with ease. The user can create a scene in 3Ds Max and render it right in Real-Time in VANTAGE using the so called "Live-Link" feature. It is similar to working in Unreal Engine where you also can see everything rendered in rea-time. There is no VANTAGE for CORONA yet but it can be that it will happen somewhen in the future. Would be very helpful to CORONA Users as well .. So, fingers crossed!
Awesome tutorial, beautiful end result, too. Thank you for making these!
You are more than welcome .. Very glad tp hear that these are helpful to you .. Thanks a world for watching and for your kind words .. Much appreciated .. Cheers
Yes!!!!!!!! I am the first comment to tell you how Awesome this tutorial is!!!!! ....What do I win? ...Another awesome tutorial? ....One on Auto Tracing With 3Ds Max? Because we ALL need that Tutorial!!!
Thanks a lot .. Much appreciated! Added your request to the list .. Stay tuned .. Cheers By the way, there is no "auto tracing" in 3Ds Max like there is in Adobe Illustrator and co. But you can simply drag and drop your Illustrator files (must be saved as version 8.0, otherwise it won't work) directly into 3Ds Max, where they will be converted into editable splines that you can extrude and edit. Exactly these steps would be the content of the tutorial you are requesting. Just try doing that in the meantime and wait for the tutorial to be published sometime in the future.
And How to do,if you want to stop the loop ?
Hi .. Many thanks for watching and for your comment .. Much appreciated! One of the good ways to have a better control over the animated characters would be using "PointCache". It's features will give you more possibilities. I do not have a tutorial for this particular topic yet, but I'm pretty sure that you can find some good videos on RUclips. Just look for "3Ds Max PointCache Tutorials" and take it from there .. Hopefully these information are useful to you .. Cheers Btw. "Motion Mixer" is another feature in 3Ds Max that you should take a look at if you are into character animations.

Complex, but logically and understandably explained - muchas gracias! 🤘 I have a question: On one of the last reference photos you show in the end, it's visible that the bulbs don't always hang exactly pointing downwards, but instead tend to be perpendicular to the cable they hand on. What operator will make that possible?
Hi and many thanks for watching and for your great input. In order to make the light bulbs facing different directions, you'd have to add a ROTATION OPERATOR to the very last event where the SHAPE operator is. The rotation operator gives you a bunch of different types to select from. Something like "Random horizontal" or other orientation types .. Give it a run and don't hesitate if there are any questions .. Cheers
Thank you very much for sharing your discoveries. 🤜🤛
You are more than welcome. Glad that it is useful to you .. Thank you too, for watching .. Cheers
This is a very nice tutorial… 🙏🏾 But i am having this very slow simulation despite that the tutorial i often follow seem faster… I am using a 32gb laptop with rtx 4060 nvidia… please any solution to make it faster a bit?
Hi and thank you very much for watching and for your feedback .. Regarding the speed of the simulation and the performance of your hardware, there is somthing that you should keep into consideration. Fluid simulations are taking long. In some cases there is a calculation time of 30min. per frame. So the time that you need to simulate depends on your settings and in order to achive some good looking results, time is your only friend. You cant rush your work and expect good results. The speed in this particular tutorial is a pretty simple setup with a few particles getting emitted only. Such a setup works usually fast but the final result would require much more particles for more accurate results. Do not think too hard about the time that you need for your sims and renders. More important is delivering good results and if you can do that, your clients will wait. Hipefully these imports are useful to you .. Cheers
@@asARTMotionGraphics thanks a lot, i really appreciate your kind response. I was able to simulate and render, the rendering of the animation of 150 frames (1280 x 720) is even faster than the simulation itself 😅… But overall i am happy i am understanding how it works…. One more thing, the liquid I simulated isn’t coming out as thick as the one in your tutorial despite setting it up as yours, could there be any parameter i could change just to make it thick? Thanks a lot bro 🙏🏾
@@abubakarabdul9755 You are very welcome .. Glad to hear that it was helpful to you. Not really clear what you meant by "Thickness" of the liquid!? .. The diameter of the flow depends on the diameter and/or shape of your actuall emitter (cylinder, sphere etc.) .. If you want to change the "Viscosity" of the liquid, you'd have to tweak the settings for it in the DYNAMICS rollout and also make sure that the coresponding channel gets exported in the OUTPUT rollout. Give it a run and have fun .. Cheers
Awesome, thank you so much! Thinking back about all the times, when I was fiddling with some ready-made ivy assets, trying to make them fit to my needs... Never again - now I will simply use TyFlow. Btw, on a house facade - how much can you control the spread? Also, is it possible to 'exclude' certain areas (like windows and doors, for example)?
Hi and thank you very much for watching. Very glad to hear that you find it useful and I'm very greatful for your great feedback. Regarding your question: You can control the spread as much as you want. There are no limits actually. Just make sure that you always use one single Model (Surface) per tyFLOW setup since adding multiple objects in the same Event will slow down the entire process and also make it harde to control. If you are working on complex buildings where you have to avoid the ivy growth in certain areas, you better prepare your model in a way, that all the parts (those you want to grow ivy on and those that you don't want) are seperated. Create one tyFLOW setup per object (surface) wou want to grow ivy on and control each of them seperatelly. That would be the best way to avoid that in my opinion. Hopefully these inputs are useful to you. Thanks again and keep on rocking .. Cheers
Very cool! Thank you for the showcase, it's also interesting to see you using Vantage as realtime preview.
You are very welcome .. Thank you too for watching. Am a huge fan of VANTAGE. Its like Unreal Engine but for 3Ds Max for Real-Time rendering .. Cheers

Awesome tut, asART 3D and Motion Graphics! I know for sure that a lot of archviz artists are pretty intimidated by TyFlow, which is a massive pity. These tutorials will definitely help understand TyFlow better, overcome the fears and add a new powerful tool to the archviz toolset. 🤟
Hi .. You are more than welcome! Can imagine that some are intimidated by it. But once the logic of it becomes clear, one will realize that there is nothing to be afraid about. The aim of thesse series is actually to take away that fear and to show and teach how even simple settings can lead to some useful results!

how to make the position of the light the same as the outline? everytime I paste the mask path on the light position. It's going on a different position. Thanks!
Hi .. It really is just as shown in this tutorial. there is no magic behind the scenes. Just make sure that you are following the exact same steps and that you really do select those parameters that are shown here, this is the only important part to pay closer attention to .. Cheers
Did you enable Foam and Splash/Mist at Phoenix? Thank alot!!!
Hi and thanks for watching .. The FOAM was activated and also generated by PHOENIX and then used in tyFLOW. The SPLASH was not activated and also not used. Just as shown in this tutorial .. Cheers
I'm simulating a beach with waves. I was able to convert Foam to render with Vantage but couldn't create wet sand (because Vantage doesn't support Vrayblender). Can you show me how to make wet sand?
@@USSR2025 Never tried that in VANTAGE with tyFLOW yet, but I'll give it a run ans share the results if any useful results achived.
Thanks for this tutorial , And how did make animated wetmap with chaos vantage (for example a wet map from waves ocean simulation). Do you know anything idea about this?
You are very welcome. Thank you too for watching. Regarding to the WET-Map "issue" .. Since VANTAGE does not support VRayBlandMaterials yet, that is pretty tricky to make the WET-Map work just by using PHOENIX. tyFLOW also supports WET-MAP generated by PHOENIX. Never tried that one, but I will as soon as there is some spare time todo so .. Cheers

It didn't work for me! The particles are not generated by Tyflow, I believe the problem could be in Birth fluid, because I tested other Births and particles were generated. Do you know anything about this?
Hi and many thanks for watching. Are there no particles at all? Or don't you see them in Vantage? You should run the Liquid and the Foam simulation of Phoenix first before tyFLOW can generate anything. If you have done that, re-check the settings in your BIRTH FLUID operator of your tyFLOW setup and make sure that the FOAM CHANNEL is selected in the GRID PARTICLES rollout. If you see the particles in your viewport but they are not appearing in VANTAGE, make sure that you have the MESH operator added to your tyFLOW setup. You also can watch the tutorial again and see if you've been skipping something. There is nothing else to do that those steps shown in this tutorial. Keep it up .. Cheers

Hi, can you do a fire with smoke. Thankyou so much.
Hello .. There is no way to render smoke in VANTAGE yet. Hopefully this will be possible soon in the future updates. For now, the only good option would be to render the smoke separately and add or create it in post-processing ... Cheers
You got some collision where the cloth has higher resolution than the underlying character, and her polygons are starting to show on the skirt. If you can subidivide your character model so it has higher polygon density you could probably get a better results on the cloth as well.
Hi and thanks for the hint. Sure thing, higher mesh resolution will give you some better results, but it also can slow down the simulation a lot. Didn't want to go crazy with the mesh amount in a tut .. Thanks again for watching and for your valuable feedback .. Much appreciated .. Cheers
@@asARTMotionGraphics The problem is that you have high resolution in the cloth, but low resolution on the collision object (character). I don't think it would hurt performance to much if you added one subdivision to her body. Adding more subdivision to the cloth would probably have a bigger impact. I've seen the same issue when using Clo and Marvellous Designer.
Roger that! .. Thanks again for your great and valuable feedbacks .. Appreciate it a lot.

bro how did you animate apple plz tell me?
Hi .. Its a pretty simple animation done with tyflow. Just generate one single particle and emitt it from a tyObject (tyIcon), use a SHAPE operator and assign your APPLE (or whatever Object you have) to it. Create an obect in your scene (does not matter what, sphere, cube etc.) and use it as a TARGET OBJECT in your tyFlow settings. Play around with the SLOW operator and tweak the results until you are happy ... It really isn't a too complex setup even it sounds like it is .. Hopefully these information are helpful to you ..
